Absolutely compatible with SPMXCA200 ESC Programmer: you connect the single yellow lead to the "ESC" port, connect the other 3 wire lead to the "BATT" port, then power the ESC with a lipo, and you will be able to change the programming with the Smart ESC Programming box. that the ESC needs the firmware updated, but it is not possible because you cannot register this ESC. Now this ESC is a relatively new "Lite" version, hopefully newer versions of the Spektrum USB Link software will support registering at some point. Read Less

This ESC is not fully supported by the SPMXCA200 programmer, listed as an optional part. The current software for the programmer (Aug 2021) does not support this ESC in USB link mode. Q: where are the specs of this esc

A: The SPMXAE45A 'Lite' ESC is supplied as a replacement part for some E-Flite airplanes like the RV-7 1.1M and Commander mPd 1.4M. As such there is not a full spec-sheet for the ESC, but the mentioned airplanes manuals will cover the main specs (motor, battery options, etc) for it
