Q: The name/description and picture seem at odds. As do the answers to other questions. The name of this "JST-RCY Battery / IC2 Device" appears to be the opposite of the picture, which shows a "JST-RCY" device (charger) connecting to a battery with an "IC2" connector. Though it's not totally easy to tell from the picture, it appears that the orange connector is of the female variety and will accept the IC2 connector on my battery, so I'm assuming that the JST-RCY end will attach to my Blade 230S with the JST connector.

A: The name of this adapter describes the connectors that it has fitted (not its function). One end has a JST-RCY battery plug, the same as you'd find on a battery.
The other has an IC2 Device connector, such as you'd find on an ESC.

This adapter will allow you to connect an IC2 battery to the ESC in a model with an RCY ESC.

A: It won't, this adapter has an IC2 Device connector on one side, a JST-RCY Battery connector on the other.
