IMPORTANT: Trade-in transmitter must be a hobby-grade transmitter. Transmitters from toy brands such as Tyco, Nikko and New Bright will not be accepted.
If you purchase from a participating hobby store (U.S. and Canada Residents Only):
  1. Print and fill out the Trade Up Redemption Form
  2. Bring a qualifying trade-in transmitter and a printed copy of the completed redemption form to a participating hobby store. See the "How it Works" section for a list of qualifying trade-in brands. Please remove the batteries from the trade-in transmitter before bringing it to the store.
  3. Purchase a qualifying Spektrum transmitter or radio system and provide the retailer with your trade-in transmitter and completed redemption form.
If you purchase from HorizonHobby.com (U.S. Residents Only):
  1. Complete the purchase a qualifying transmitter at the regular price by October 31, 2017.
  2. Print and fill out the Trade Up Redemption Form
  3. Email the completed form to Horizon Hobby Customer Service with the online order number of your qualifying purchase (customersupport@horizonhobby.com) before November 30, 2017. The subject line of your email should read, “Spektrum Trade Up Redemption Form.” Please allow 5 days for a reply that will include an RA number and shipping instructions.

When a customer service representative has accepted your trade-in transmitter, they will issue a credit to the method of payment you used to make the qualifying purchase.

RULES AND RESTRICTIONS

To receive the trade-in discount in-store, you must purchase a new qualifying transmitter from a participating retailer by October 31, 2017. The trade-in transmitter must be surrendered at time of purchase. Acceptance of a trade-in transmitter is at the sole discretion of the participating retailer and may be denied for any reason. Trade-in cannot be redeemed for cash. An acceptable trade-in will apply the applicable discount to the subtotal at checkout. For applicable discounts, see the top of this web page and Step 1 of the Transmitter Trade Up Redemption Form. One trade-in transmitter allowed per purchase.

To receive the trade-in discount online, you must first purchase a new qualifying transmitter from HorizonHobby.com by October 31, 2017 and submit your Trade-In Redemption Form via email with the order number of your qualifying purchase to customer service before November 30, 2017. A credit will be applied to the method of payment used for the qualifying purchase on HorizonHobby.com. To determine the credit that will be applied to your method of payment, refer to the top of this web page and Step 1 on the Transmitter Trade Up Redemption Form. Participation in the online trade-in program is restricted to US residents only. Acceptance of trade-in is at the sole discretion of Horizon Hobby Customer Service and may be denied for any reason.

Horizon Hobby LLC is not responsible for costs associated with shipping trade-in transmitters to Horizon Hobby. Only qualifying online purchases will receive a valid RA number. Trade-in transmitters received without an RA number will not be accepted. Offer through horizonhobby.com available to U.S. residents only. Trade Up purchases in Canada must be made at a participating Horizon Hobby retailer.
